Durango Ground Breaking Ceremony, December 2015

First Southwest Bank begins construction of our new building at the corner of East 2nd Avenue and College Drive. According to Durango officials, this project serves as the catalyst for the long-range city plans to redevelop the College Drive business corridor.

Colorado Mushroom Farm

At the height of its operations, the Colorado Mushroom farm employed over 250 people, injecting more than $10 million annually into the local economy. After years of being closed, the farm has reopened thanks to a unique financial collaboration spearheaded by First Southwest Bank.

Comfort Inn

The hotel business is a highly competitive market. First Southwest Bank worked with Comfort Inn to add 16 new suites, enabling them to compete with newer hotels. As Comfort Inn’s owner says, “Being a partner with First Southwest Bank, the business future looks bright!”

Iron Maegan Metalworks

After relocating her custom metal working business across the country, Maegan Crowley had difficulty securing financing because she had no local references. First Southwest Bank took the time to work with her, and today customers enjoy her unique metal designs as her business continues to grow.

Sand Dunes Quarter Event

The Great Sand Dunes National Park Quarter was officially launched in September 2014 at this stunning natural wonder near Mosca, Colorado.  First Southwest Bank served as the official exchange bank for the quarter’s launch and celebrated the event with more than 3,000 community members.

Rustic Log Furniture

A dynamic husband and wife team grew their business from constructing porch swings to designing and building beautiful log furniture for every room in the home. First Southwest Bank handled all of Rustic Log’s expansion financing so they could focus on creating beautiful furniture.

2nd Avenue Sports

Durango resident Gary Provencher was able to grow his sports consignment shop into a thriving full-service bike and ski shop, thanks to community support for local business and his local bank. Today, Gary is not just a customer of the bank but also our neighbor.

Riff Raff Brewery

When home-brewers Jason and Shelly Cox decided to open a commercial brewery, they needed to buy various equipment and systems.  First Southwest Bank cut through the financial complexity, and “really embraced our business and tried to understand the business model.”

Forest Health Company

The threat of destructive forest fire is always present in mountain communities. Forest Health Company mitigates this risk by creating a fire buffer, and then reuses the removed forest materials. First Southwest Bank worked with Forest Health Company to provide the best financing possible.
